CASA ISABELLE, PRIVATE HOME

This striking architectural project basks in the sun on the famous Costa del Sol in Marbella.

The design was contoured to fit the extraordinary site. Indeed, it seems sculpted into the shoreline, emphasizing the skillful blending with the surroundings.

The result is a distinctive reinterpretation of Andalusian architecture which incorporates elements of the Arabic and Flemish heritage so dear to the architect, Alejandro Giménez, who curated the project.

With his design, the architect set out to respect and integrate the home’s pre-existing architecture, especially evident in the treatment of the original fireplace in the main room, visible from many places in the home.

Another characteristic of the design is the choice of natural materials in warm colors that coordinate comfortably with the green and brown shades of the surrounding vegetation.

A seamless extension of the surrounding environment, a magnificent arrangement of the Groundpiece sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio and upholstered in a light ecru solid color fabric, was chosen to furnish the living room, which is illuminated by an interesting interplay of light.
