CYPRUS, PRIVATE HOME

This minimalist-style residence enjoys breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea off Cyprus.

For designer Olga Gusarova, who developed the project from the time of its conception, it was important that there be enough space to accommodate family and friends.

At the same time, being a fan of order and sleek surfaces, she decided to use a minimal number of pieces of furniture and decorative elements while highlighting the home’s architectural features.

The floors in the house and on the patio are paved with a glossy light-colored shade of Greek marble. All the built-in furniture, the closets and the bathroom shelves are made of walnut, based on the designer’s own designs. The walls are painted a light cream color. The monochromatic color palette is broken up by graphic details, like the taupe-color window frames.

The light-filled living room was furnished with a Groundpiece sectional sofa, paired with a stand-alone Gregory sofa. Both sofas were designed by architect Antonio Citterio and, thanks to their bold, clean lines, embody all the savoir-faire of the Flexform style. Two Alison armchairs complete the room’s decor.
