Elegant Sutton Place penthouse.

The Sutton Place residential district on Manhattan’s East side is known for its particular intermingling of classic New York-style buildings and modern skyscrapers. Luxuriant parks and plentiful green spaces make this area an oasis of quiet serenity from which picturesque views of the East River and nearby Roosevelt Island can be enjoyed, far from the frenzied activity of Manhattan. Located here is the exclusive ‘The Sutton’ condominium, built in 2016 and consisting of 113 apartments spread over 29 floors.

Recently commissioned for the interior design of one of these prestigious apartments, GS Architects (based in Graz, Austria), selected various Flexform pieces to furnish the rooms.

Danijela Gojic, founder of GS, along with Brigitte Spurej, planned the interior design concept to create harmonious connections between the interior and outdoor spaces. The vast windows that surround the entire building open the apartment to many views that alternate between the New York skyline and Roosevelt Island, captivating the eye through a constantly evolving interplay of light and shadow.

In the living room, the Groundpiece sofa with cowhide-clad armrests occupies the place of honor, flanked by a Kobo coffee table and Bangkok ottoman upholstered in woven cowhide.

The dining room is furnished with an elegant Fly table with wood top and surrounded by Feel Good dining chairs, while Feel Good stools are featured in the kitchen area.
