Located near Citadel Park in Ghent, this building dates back to 1865. Rather than covering up the past, a series of thoughtful restoration works accentuate its influence, while firmly ushering it into the 21st century.

The white stucco facade reveals classic details, like the vintage wood front doors. Inside, a modern glazed structure blends with the monumental columns, beyond which lies the home of the owners of a lighting and design company and, not by chance, light is at the heart of its design. Natural light pours in through windows of different heights and sizes that stretch all the way into the indoor garden.

In the pursuit of refined minimalism, light-colored wood and earth-tone stuccoes are prominent elements of the interior decor.

Set among a series of contemporary design classics, the Soft Dream sofa offers an island of serenity.
