BAO

The Bao sculptures — Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 — are made of solid wood and hand-finished to enhance their softly contoured shapes and uninterrupted lines. The surface treatment lends a dark finish that enhances the texture of the wood while allowing the veining to remain visible.

Stacked in a seemingly impossible balancing act, the blocks generate visual tension between positive and negative space, transforming the sculptures into a harmonious, dynamic presence, free to dialog with their surroundings.
