Outstanding visitor turnout marked the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile furniture show, concluded Sunday June 12, thus confirming the show’s international leadership role as a showcase for design.
Again, Flexform chose to stage its 2022 Collection in a two-story 2000 square-meter exhibit space. The spacious design project featured many green areas that conferred an atmosphere of calm and well-being, values intrinsic to the lifestyle concept epitomized by the brand.
The latest innovations in the indoor collection were arranged in a series of settings where the intimate, sophisticated style was enhanced by evocative textures and color combinations in shades of blue and bordeaux.
The elegant lines and boundless comfort of the new Perry and Ambroeus seating systems, both designed by Antonio Citterio, drew high praise from the many visitors who thronged the stand every day during the show. They also appreciated the Eliseo family of seating elements, Parker sofas, Desco and Academy tables, Alma small armchair and the series of Earl cabinets.
Unveiling of the new outdoor collection was set in an expansive green space amid typical Mediterranean trees and shrubs – olive and cypress trees, rosemary, thyme and maiden grass – arranged to create a garden that expressed the signature sense of serene, laid-back elegance inherent to the Flexform style. The staged spaces offered a clever, crowd-pleasing blend of products from the most recent collections alongside the all-new 2022 pieces. Among these were the Atlante Light daybed and Camargue family of seating elements, both designed by Antonio Citterio. Their aluminum structures with vibrant terracotta-color epoxy powder-coat finish and cushions upholstered in soft fabric in an exquisite shade of light blue was a pairing as fresh as it was triumphant.
Flexform was among the 12 companies honored for their unbroken participation in every edition of the show from 1961 to the present, sharing in and supporting the history and growth of the Salone del Mobile.
Looking ahead, the appointed moment for everyone – trade professionals and design enthusiasts alike – is next spring, at the Salone del Mobile 2023, scheduled to take place April 18th to 23rd.
