2015 COLLECTION

CHILLAX ATMOSPHERE

The anglo-saxon world has recently adopted a new word, chillax – the combination of to chill (calm the mind) and relax – to define one of the most satisfying states of mind in contemporary living ever more oriented toward the constant search for psychophysical wellbeing. FLEXFORM responds naturally and with ease to this increasing demand, offering a reassuring chillax atmosphere for the presentation of the new 2015 Collection. An atmosphere that reflects in the sophisticated relaxed ambient in the new press campaign photo as well. In the new products we find the light, neutral and balanced tones of the fabrics and trim of the new Collection coordinated by architect Antonio Citterio. A measured, calm, sedate collection with rare accents of colour, lightened by a harmonious palette that prefers whites, ivory, melange sandy colours, greys, light woods, satin finish metals and natural hide coloured leather. LARIO, designed by Antonio Citterio, was first presented at the IMM Cologne in January. It’s a new, fresh, contemporary and versatile sofa. Modular or linear, it rests on a solid parallelepiped base with an aesthetic lightness that can be embellished with a series of cushions resting against the back. It is presented in Milan with a curious new mechanism that allows you to adjust the seat to two relaxing depth positions simply be leaning back. LARIO has another clever accessory that’s also applied to other models: a double roll fastened to a leather strap inserted behind that back cushion, that serves the dual purpose of kidney/head rest for increased seating comfort. BIG BOB is a new clean-lined modular sofa again by Antonio Citterio. So soft on the eyes, this model is destined to become a great classic. It rests on a metal base and has a broad padded or leather armrest and large down-filled cushions as backrest fitted with the special kidney-rest accessory. BIG BOB also has the same adjustable seating position mechanism as Lario. ZEUS is a sofa-object that goes hand in hand with the chaise-loungue presented in 2014, and is perfect for furnishing public spaces like VIP lounges and hotel lobbies. A unique piece capable of giving character to a domestic ambient as well, perhaps alongside other compositions. It has a high padded back built on a rigid frame that flares out slightly like two light wings, and a single generous cushion as the seat. Design: Antonio Citterio. There are four new armchairs designed to extend the range of armchairs accompanying sofas of a certain importance. Designed by Antonio Citterio. The new CRONO armchair, with wooden structure and down cushions this armchair has an original back in leather cord. Again with a wooden structure, the elegant AGAVE armchair with padded seat. Comfortable and harmonic, the MONDO armchair with wooden structure and padded seat. Lastly the new LUCE padded armchair ideal for contract settings as well. Comfortable and classic, with swivelling base as optional and with armrests, this is an excellent armchair for relaxing or reading. The HELEN family also has a new entry in the form of the new bench coordinated with the armchair and the chaise-lounge, with the same particular metal legs. The bench presents the original hand-made leather weave and has a wide range of applications: lobby bench, seat in front of a sofa or bench at the foot of the bed. The new TINDARI small tables with metal frame and top in wood or marble are interesting for the precious leather cord weave characterising their structure. The new GIANO small tables are all made from different types of warm wood, and closing the series the new SOFFIO table, small tables and consolle with elegant metal legs and base and marble tops. All designed by Antonio Citterio.
