Spain, villa on the Ibiza coast
Summer home on the north-east coast of the island seamlessly integrated into the Mediterranean landscape.
Overlooking the sea and the Island of Tagomago, this elegant home built by Carlos Ferrater in the early 2000s, was recently renovated by Romano Arquitectos, who also curated the interior design.
The home includes a central building and various smaller separate structures sited around it. Their sandstone facades reflect the sun and Mediterranean light while the open spaces, patios, porticos, and terraces blur the lines between indoors and out, integrating the architecture with the surrounding landscape.
A sophisticated living area furnished with two Parker sofas serves as the social hub inside the home’s central building. This opens onto a large wood-paved terrace that connects the living space directly with the outdoors. Creating a comfortable oasis alongside an elegant swimming pool are two Camargue small sofas and matching armchairs.
