VILLA MKZ

The unique design for this private home is by the illustrious Takeshi Hirobe Architects, that measured up to the challenge of a site as complex as it is captivating.

The significantly sloped and uneven terrain did not keep the architects from imagining a truly innovative and flexible design concept. At the planning stage, it looked like a series of capricious interconnected triangles that could be modified based on the needs of the owner.

The side of the home that overlooks Tokyo Bay features a series of closely connected yet irregularly shaped rooms. The living room offers spectacular views and, positioned for pleasurable viewing, is an L-shaped arrangement of the Wing seating system, designed by Antonio Citterio.
