Aptly named Clear Water Retreat, this private home is located on the banks of Canada’s Lake of the Woods.

Secter Architecture + Design is the creative team behind the design of this striking edifice lapped by the waters of the magnificent lake.

The plan called for the home to be oriented to capture views of the lake’s unparalleled beauty and offer maximum sun exposure.

Designed to highlight the home’s intimate interaction with nature and its elements, the upper floor decor makes extensive use of wood, immense expanses of glass and a vast outdoor patio.

Secter Architecture + Design positioned two Soft Dream sofas in front of the stone-clad fireplace to heighten the atmosphere of warmth and coziness that distinguishes the living room.
