Tara: Sophisticated minimalism
Sebastian Herkner introduces the new collection of tables.
For Flexform, Sebastian Herkner conceptualized the Tara family of tables with meticulous attention to detail and the pursuit of understated elegance. The aim was to preserve the collection's artisanal value, manufacturing traditions and expressive materiality through a design that balances monumentality with lightness.
The concrete base is composed of two identical elements positioned opposite one another, together recalling a monolithic form while lending the table both stability and an unexpected sense of airiness. The concrete base, when paired with the back-painted glass top, embodies the continuing quest for balance between mineral solidity and transparency. Tara becomes a sculptural presence – minimal yet sophisticated – capable of transforming the home into a series of refined living spaces.
The collection includes dining tables and coffee tables and is also available in an outdoor version made entirely of concrete.
