New entry 2016 IMM COLOGNE

FLEXFORM presents – in an updated, luminous and elegant setting – some interesting new developments: the new TWINS sofa-bed, a variation of the LARIO sofa and a revision of the EDEN sofa-bed.

At the IMM fair in Cologne FLEXFORM has organized several islands designed with the latest products presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2015, such as the LARIO and BIG BOB sofas, the armchairs CRONO, AGAVE, LUCE, MONDO and A.B.C.D. – recently nominated for the Compasso d’Oro 2017 – the new TINDARI tables in woven cowhide, and the HELEN bench. At the booth in Cologne, as in all the monobrand stores and shop-in-shop displays around the world, the islands coherently convey the image and the product range, replicating the bright and subtle colours of the new display format presented at the Salone di Milano 2015 with floors in pale stone, wooden lamps with a Nordic look and a warm, welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. The brochure New Entries Cologne 2016 features all the new products in an effective informative publication. The new TWINS sofa-bed is by the designer Giulio Manzoni, and is the first FLEXFORM product to offer the possibility of two single beds instead of one double bed. TWINS has essential lines, with an upholstered back and a patented mechanism to permit easy extraction and preparation of the two beds. Four back cushions contain the two duvets and two pillows required to transform the sofa in the evening into two fully outfitted twin beds. A simple, effective solution that has also been applied to the EDEN sofa-bed with its original chassis-back covered in cowhide. Designed by Antonio Citterio in 2010, this model is shown in Cologne with the solution of two twin beds, in addition to the previous double bed version. The LARIO sofa, one of the firm’s success stories in 2015, now offers a solution that calls for a new storage armrest covered in cowhide, to replace the traditional armrest. This detail – an armrest that can function as a table or bookcase – is part of FLEXFORM’s stylistic signature, further enhancing the LARIO model, which is already a favourite due to its simple, clean lines and the handy invisible mechanism for lengthening the seat without compromising the aesthetic rigor of the design. On-going evolution sets FLEXFORM apart. Hence the decision to present new products in Cologne, aware of the great importance of the German market for international business.
